Terming the BJP as the Jallikattu bull, Shiv Sena President Uddhav Thackeray on Sunday said that bull-tamers in Shiv Sena will defeat the sinister design of BJP and keep Maharashtra united.

While addressing a public rally in Bhandup, Thackeray, without naming Prime Minister Modi, criticised him for demonetization. He said, "the bad debts of big industrialists are compensated with huge amounts of money deposited in banks during demonetization. You are a pickpocketer who would yet again come to lure the people by saying bhaaiyon aur bahano."

Criticising the BJP for the Mi Mumbaikar campaign, Thackeray said that Shiv Sena has never felt the need to tell citizens of Mumbai they were Mumbaikars, since Sena has a blood relation with them. Condemning BJP for remembering martyrs of the United Maharashtra movement only during BMC elections, Thackeray said that these people should also take an oath that they would keep Maharashtra united.

Alleging that Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis has been responsible for stalling the power generating unit for Mumbai, Thackeray said that BMC was the only municipal corporation in the country to build its own dam to supply water. He said that he wanted to install the power generation unit and Chief Minister Fadnavis had assured him he would clear the proposal, but he has been sitting on the file for the last six to eight months.

Thackeray also added that if Sena were voted to power, they would join the 90 Feet Road from Bhandup to Link road, and would also convert the Savitribai Phule hospital into a super-speciality hospital. He also promised a state of the art sports complex at Birla Compound land.

Stating that BJP does not have answers to the development work done by Shiv Sena in Mumbai, Thackeray claimed there was no water logging in Mumbai in 2016, but BJP would never remember it. Pointing out that Sena had the highest number of donors at a blood donation camp, he added that the BJP will not remember the help by sainiks during the calamities that the city faced in the past.
