Techie’s nude photos posted on Tinder

The photos of a woman from Shivaji Park were morphed into a nude picture and posted on Tinder, a dating portal, by making a fake profile in her name. The Shivaji Park police recently registered a case following a complaint by the woman.

According sources in the police, the 27-year-old complainant is employed with a reputed IT company. She learnt about the misuse after her friends called her up asking about her photos on a Tinder profile. 

The sources said the woman was clueless about the profile and photos. She then asked one of her friends to send her the screenshots. She went numb after seeing the photos. The techie then approached the police. 

A case has been registered under the IPC and the Information Technology Act.

“We suspect that it must be someone known to the woman who has done this to defame her for revenge. We have written to the website for details and are trying to trace the Internet protocol address of the criminal,” said an officer.
