According to civic officials, a portion of the fourth floor of the building collapsed on the third floor injuring 53-year-old Kavita Bantula and 34-year-old Nagesh Sharma in the incident.

Two people were injured after a portion of a slab of the four-storey JBJJ building in Borivli collapsed on Monday afternoon. Following the incident, the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) has decided to issue a notice to the housing society so as to conduct a structural audit of the building.
According to civic officials, a portion of the fourth floor of the building collapsed on the third floor injuring 53-year-old Kavita Bantula and 34-year-old Nagesh Sharma in the incident.
"The incident was reported 12.45pm. The entire building is a residential-cum-commercial structure. The injured were rushed to the civic-run Shatabdi hopsital for treatment," a fire brigade officer said.
After preliminary treatment, the injured were discharged by hospital authorities.
