Sadhvi Pragya Singh Thakur's advocate Ranjeet Sangle, who appeared on her behalf before the Bombay High Court, has alleged that the Congress government had falsely implicated Sadhavi Pragya Singh Thakur, just to target the RSS and to name it as a terror organisation.

Sangle claimed that it was Sushil Kumar Shinde, who had first introduced the term 'Hindu terror group' and that the entire involvement of Sadhavi is the creation of Digvijay Singh, who wanted to target the RSS.

Sangle further added that the entire case is false and the concept of Hindu terror is a brainchild of the Congress government, "but truth and law always prevails and that is what has happened. We have argued the entire case on the legal aspect, and we succeeded".

Advocate Sangle, speaking to DNA, said, "The ATS had arrested the witnesses in the case, who were asked to record their statements before the magistrate court. They were threatened to depose against Sadhavi, which they did.

However, when the matter was taken over by the National Investigating Agency (NIA), it realised that there were some grey areas in the investigation part of the ATS, and thus the NIA re-examined the witnesses who had recorded the statements before the magistrate. On investigating, they realised that statements recorded by the witnesses were done under duress."

"The same evidence was produced before the Sessions court, but it failed to appreciate the evidence. However, even if she is out on bail, her medical condition would not allow her to move freely. She needs to be operated immediately, failing which, it can cost her life," said Sangle.
