To help expectant mothers in Thane manage their pregnancy better so that they can give birth to a healthy baby and also, take proper care of the newborn, dna has organised a Peri Natal workshop on September 12 with reputed panelists from the city.
This workshop will be held at Hotel Tip Top Plaza from 2.30pm to 5.30pm and will be presided by childbirth and lactation educator Lukmita Pawaskar and Dr Sandeep Kelkar, a renowned pediatrician and neonatologist from Thane.
The attendees at this free workshop will get to learn about child birth, lactation, pre-natal dos and don'ts, pre-natal yoga for health-conscious mothers and even child care.
In this three hour workshop, there will also be an interactive session where the participants can also ask questions to the panelists. Thus, if you are pregnant and looking for professional guidance then this workshop is the place to be.
Pawaskar is an internationally certified child birth and lactation educator and completed her certification from CAPPA in the US in April 2013. Currently, she is associated with Jupiter Hospital and Bethany Hospital in Thane.
Dr Sandeep Kelkar owns Shri Prathamesh hospital in Thane and is also associated with the Jupiter, Bethany and Kaushalya hospital. Besides being a pediatrician, he is the founder chairman of Equipkids (India), the ISO 9001-2008 certified Emotional Intelligence Research & Training Institute since 2006. This institute carries out training and research in novel field of emotional intelligence [EQ] in children. He has conducted numerous workshops for training parents, teachers in EQ at various places in Maharashatra.
