The all-women Pari akhada will boycott the first shahi snan (holy bath) by wearing a black band, said its chief Mahant Trikal Bhavanta on Friday.

Sadhvi Bhavanta had filed a suit in the Nashik court against the administration and the municipal corporation, saying that her akhada's demands have not been met. The akhada had demanded that women sadhvis be given a separate ghat and time for the holy bath. While initially she had demanded ghat and time at Ramkund, then at Sitakund, later she had said she was ready to consider the ghat opposite Naroshanker Mandir.

Ultimately, she filed a suit, demanding that the akhada be given a ghat anywhere along the river Godavari and a separate time. After hearing out the akhada and the administration, the court reserved its order till Monday, which is after the first shahi snan. It also told Sadhvi Trikal Bhavanta not to disturb the systems laid down by the administration as of now.
