Over 1.83 lakh students admitted to FYJC

Until now, the education department have conducted five rounds, including supplementary round for students — who did not get admission in FYJC and who could not get their choice of colleges in these rounds.

After general five merit list rounds and special three rounds that was conducted for First Year Junior College (FYJC) admissions, as many as 4.66 lakh students have been allotted seats of which 1.83 lakh have been admitted and around 2 lakh have failed to report and confirm their admissions, states data received from the education department.

Until now, the education department have conducted five rounds, including supplementary round for students — who did not get admission in FYJC and who could not get their choice of colleges in these rounds.

The education department released the figure on Saturday which shows that after all rounds of online admission process till now 4,66,565 seats were allotted to students. A total of 1,83,379 students were admitted to colleges, 579 applications were rejected, 78,757 applications got cancelled and 2,03,850 students admission status is not reported online.

The education department has released new dates for the students who gave got ATKT (Allow to Keep Term) in SSC board examination and for the students who cleared their SSC July repeaters examination. The form filling for these students will happen on September 7, 8 and 12. The merit list of these rounds will be declared on September 14 and admissions can be secured on September 16 and 17 by students whose names come in these merit list.

However, there are students who are claiming that despite of participating in special rounds they have not been allotted college till now. Some of them have not waited in for the three rounds to happen and taken admission in management quota in the colleges they wish to take admission.
