Over 17 lakh students appear for SSC board examination

Out of 17, 66,098 students registered, the number of boy students are 9,89,908 and girl students are 7,76,190 this year

The Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education (MSBSHSE), is all set to conduct its first Secondary School Certificate (SSC) board examination from today of first language papers. More then 17 lakh students have registered to appear for the SSC board examination from across the Maharashtra state.
 
The SSC board examination which is beginning from today will end by 1 April. Out of 17, 66,098 students registered, the number of boy students are 9,89,908 and girl students are 7,76,190 this year. Among the total number of students registered the regular number of students are 16,52,270 and repeaters are 64,412 this year appearing for SSC board exam. These students are registered from total 21,686 numbers of schools from across the state.

Total number of examination centre this year for SSC students are 4,728 across the state.  
 
From across the state the total numbers of disabled students appearing for SSC board examination are 7,414 who have been provided different concessions as per their needs like extra time, nearby exam centres, writers and subjects as per the board rule.
 
This year the total number of students in state registered for SSC board examination have increased by 2.23% that from 17,27,496 in year 2016 upto 17,66,098 in year 2017 that is 38,602 students are more this year. Similarly girl students are increased by 3.64% that is from 9,55,186 girl students in year 2016 upto 9,89,908 girl students in year 2017. The boy students have increased by 0.50% that is if 7,72,310 boy students were there in year 2016 that is 7,76,190 this year in 2017 appearing for SSC board exam.
 
Similarly the total number of students from Mumbai division board registered to appear for SSC board examination are 3,86,480. The examination centres from where the students will appear for board exam are 976 in Thane, Palghar, Raigad, Mumbai South, Mumbai West and Mumbai North.
