Mumbai University: Students cry foul after high rate of failure in first semester of LLM exam​

​Several students who had appeared for their first semester Masters of Laws (LLM) examinations at the University of Mumbai have alleged that they have been wrongly failed. 

Results of the exams were declared on last Friday on the university's official website. While students are yet to get their subject wise marks, a large number of them said that they were shocked to see that they had failed despite writing the papers well. 

Sachin Pawar, President of Student Law Council said that a large number of students have complained of being wronged. "If we roughly estimate, around 80% students from each of the 6 specialisations seem to have failed in the exams. In environment law specialisation for instance, a student said that only 4 out of 100 students have passed . The University should investigate into the issue as this seems like an error " added Pawar. 

Despite repeated calls and messages, controller of examinations, Deepak Wasave could not be reached for a comment.
