Even if I inspire two people who are disabled in any way, then I would think that my purpose for running this marathon is accomplished, says Amarjeet Singh Chawla (62), who is visually impaired and till date has completed 82 half marathons. Chawla said it is very important to boost the morale of people who have suffered disabilities in their lives.

Chawla started running marathon in 2004, after he received message from the National Association for Blind (NAB), which read 'run to raise funds for blind'. "I registered myself in the dream run, just to have an overall experience of it, but it worked in my favor as it boosted my morale. I got addicted to running and since then, have become a frequent runner," said Chawla.
