Registration of colleges for First Year Junior College (FYJC) is expected to start after April 12. The Bifocal seats which remain vacant in the zero round will be kept for the open round in the Science stream, said officials from the education department.

The deputy director of school education said that the education department's website is being updated to start the registration of colleges for the FYJC online admission process.

This year too, colleges will have to register themselves for the process and are expected to increase in number, claim officials from the deputy director's office.

An official from the deputy director's office said, "Every year, the number of colleges increase. Hence, this year too the number of colleges participating in the FYJC online admission process will go up. The website is being updated by a private organisation from Delhi. We have to make changes as Bifocal will be added for the zero round along with management and minority quota admission process. This year, in zero round, once management, minority and bifocal admissions are over, if Bifocal seats remain vacant, then they will be transferred to the science stream in the open round."
