Condemning Union government, and Prime Minister Narendra Modi for their failure in providing befitting reply to Pakistan, for the Uri attacks where 18 jawans were killed. Mumbai Pradesh Congress Committee (MRCC), women's wing, staged demonstrations outside BJP state unit office at Nariman Point, on Monday.

As a mark of protest the MRCC women's wing also sent bangles to Prime Minister's office.

The demonstrations were led by women's wing president, Sheetal Mhatre, who said that BJP leader Smriti Irani had criticised former Prime Minister, Dr Manmohan Singh in a similar manner, after attacks on Indian border areas. Mhatre reminded that Irani had also talked about gifting bangles to Dr Manmohan Singh.

The activists blamed the Union government for failing in its duties and said that the Prime Minister only speaks of befitting reply but does nothing like all his other promises.
