The city-based men’s rights activists on Thursday came out in support of the minor actor’s alleged molester Vikas Sachdev. The activists sought that a case of causing intentional insult to Sachdev is registered against the minor actor. Meanwhile, the accused will be released from Taloja jail on Friday.

Sachdev, 38, a Chandivali resident, has been accused of allegedly molesting a minor Bollywood actor on the Vistara Delhi to Mumbai flight on December 10.

The Sahar police had registered a case of molestation and under relevant sections of the Protection Of Children From Sexual Offences Act (POCSOA). The Dindoshi Sessions court had granted bail to Sachdev on Wednesday.

After the arrest of Sachdev, several men’s rights activist across the country slammed the minor actor on social media and criticised her. This led to Mumbai Police Department issuing guidelines on their Twitter handle instructing the citizens to not keep their view and discuss the incident as it is against the rules of POCSOA.

Amit Deshpande, Vaastav Foundation, said,”The accused has already suffered due to allegations and we are supporting him as he is innocent and had not intended to molest the woman who was sitting ahead of him. We suggest that the accused should file the complaint against the minor actor for insulting him intentionally which affected him.”

“The men’s rights group are supporting him due to the nature of the case which does not have any substance to prove that Sachdev intentionally molested the actor.” A senior prison department official, said,”We are completing the procedure of releasing the accused. We will complete it before sunset on Friday.”
