Manhunt for Bhandup killers continues

A day after a father and two sons were stabbed to death by four persons in Bhandup's Sonapur area, the Bhandup police are unable to get any breakthrough in the murder case.

An argument over the space of setting up of vegetable carts turned brutal when four vegetable sellers, all brothers attacked a man and his two sons- Abdul alias Gulam Ali Khan, 50, Shahbaz, 25 and Shadab, 14 -, killing all three, in Bhandup on Sunday.

Khan is a resident of Zakaria compound, Sonapur in Bhandup and would run a business of scrap dealing.

According to the police, the four wanted accused hails from Badayu district in Uttar Pradesh and would live nearby the house of victims since past four years on a rental basis. A police source claimed that Shahbaz would allegedly take Hafta from the vegetable sellers and would harass them for money and hence in a fit of rage the accused who are addicted to drugs attacked them.

The relatives and locals of the area, two of them would set up a vegetable stall every day in front of the houses which would create an issue of space every evening in the area. One of the local said who does not want to be named said,"There was a quarrel between one of the vegetable seller and Khan's son over some issue since past few days and two days before the incident too they have had an argument, On the day of the incident, both again had an argument which was immediately resolved after the public intervened, however, after some time, the seller came with his brother and attacked Shahbaz with sickles,"

"Nobody intervened when they killed my uncle and brothers. The police too reached very late on the spot, we have to take them in tempos and Autos there was no ambulance as well. Now the Khan is survived by his wife and two younger sons. ,Khan's wife is in a deep trauma. We just hope that they are caught and get punishment," said Qasim Khan, cousin of Khan.
