After hearing about the abduction of their former classmate Judith D'Souza by suspected militants in Kabul, her classmates from Nirmala Niketan College of Social Work have started spreading solidarity messages to bring her back home safely. Judith was working with the Aga Khan Foundation.

College principal Geeta Balakrishnan has started receiving messages on her Facebook page from alumni across the country in this regard, after she posted an appeal to pray on her timeline on Friday night. "We are requesting people to not give any comments to the media right now. We are all praying for Judith and are in touch with each other on Facebook. We may hold a solidarity march after a couple of days."
