Due to the blunder committed by DMER in setting wrong questions, the PG medical students will be gifted upto 43 marks flat in the Common Entrance Test (CET) of the state. DMER has to allot 26 marks to all students who appeared for PG-CET as that had wrong questions. In addition to this, the DMER also has to allot 17 marks for students who attended those questions were the optional answer was more than one.
On 24 March, DNA had reported 'Maharashtra: 26 wrong questions on post-graduate Medical entrance exam'.
"We are taking a serious cognisance of DNA report, this is very serious matter hence we appointed a hight level enquiry under the supervision of Medha Gadgil, Additional Chief secretary, Medical Education department, within a week report is expected. I will ensure the student onwards entrance exam such thing is not happened. Anboyd found guilty in this enquiry we will take a strict action. I ensure student should not suffered because of the DMER mistake." said Vinod Tawde, Minister of Medical eduation.
The exam, held on January 4, was for MD and MS admissions. Around 9,815 students appeared for 792 seats in Maharashtra.
" There is need to change the system the way the are conducting the CET. Because of the question paper setter mistake student has suffered a lot. To get the admission through the CET student worked hard across the year.
