On the occasion of International Day of Yoga, chief minister Devendra Fadnavis would be participating in Yoga sessions along with a few Bollywood stars and over 400 policemen, at Bandra Reclamation ground on Tuesday. The session will begin at 7am.

BJP Mumbai city unit president Ashish Shelar told media persons that an NGO, Spandan, along with Mumbai police is organising this session to celebrate International Yoga Day. He informed that Mumbai police commissioner as well as BMC commissioner would participate in this Yoga session.

Shelar informed that Fadnavis would join the police personnel who would be performing Yoga at Bandra Reclamation ground on Tuesday morning. He informed that a few Bollywood personalities including actor Raveena Tandon, directors Karan Johar, Madhur Bhandarkar, Imtiaz Ali and singer Shaan would be participating in the Session.

After BJP came to power the proposal to celebrate June 21 as International Yoga Day was mooted and the UN accepted it. That is the reason, BJP state unit office in-charge Mukund Kulkarni informed that two ministers from the Centre would be participating in Yoga celebrations.

"Union minister for Surface Transport Nitin Gadkari would be participating in Yoga celebrations in Nagpur while Union minister for Heavy Industries Anant Geete would be participating in Yoga Celebrations in Murud," said Kulkarni.
