The Bombay High Court has, by way of interim relief, restrained industrialist Jaidev Shroff and his workers from using or circulating in public any video or audio clips which may have a defamatory affect on his estranged wife Poonam Bhagat. The court in its order has also asked YouTube to pull down any such audio or video clips.

Justice SJ Kathawalla passed the order when the bench was hearing a defamation suit filed by Bhagat alleging that Shroff was in possession of several defamatory videos and audio clips, and that many of such clips had found their way to YouTube, or were being circulated in public.

The High court has directed YouTube to take down all such video and audio clips, and to file an affidavit by January 16.

Poonam and Jaidev were in a relationship from the year 2003, while Jaidev was going through a divorce with first wife Romila. He married Poonam in the year 2005. He has two children from the first marriage and a daughter with Poonam. Poonam belongs to the family behind the Nirlon Group and is sister to socialite Sheetal Mafatlal.
