BMC clerk held for accepting Rs 32,000 bribe

After an inspection by the BMC, the woman was given a notice for not having a factory permit. This matter was handed over to BMC’s Legal department to file a case in court.

The Anti Corruption Bureau on Tuesday arrested a 50-year-old clerk for allegedly accepting a bribe Rs 32,000 for closing a court case. According to police, the complainant had given her apartment on rent to a jewellery workshop. After an inspection by the BMC, the woman was given a notice for not having a factory permit. This matter was handed over to BMC’s Legal department to file a case in court. To close the court case, the accused Shaileshkumar Kambli demanded a bribe of Rs 32,000. He was caught red-handed while accepting the bribe by Mumbai unit of the ACB.
