Two of the main accused were previously, residents of the Mulund area and hence they were aware with locality and the residents staying there. Later, they shifted and one by one started looting the houses. The most common pattern in their theft was that the accused to steal during the wee hours of the night and also they would at one instance trespass in more than five houses where on May 15 they trespassed in seven houses.

We have seized 50 grams of gold, some valuables, cutter and screwdrivers and other equipments which they had used for house breaking from the accused. After going through the police records, we came to know that there are several cases registered against them in Kanjurmarg, Ghatkopar, Bhandup, Vikhroli, Kalwa and many other police stations.
