Rishi Shah, CEO of Crossbones Media and publisher of Rave magazine, was grilled twice by Bandra police on Tuesday, only to claim later in the day that no circumstantial evidence could be found to arrest him.

He was being quizzed in connection with abetting the suicide of 29 -year-old Bengaluru pianist Karan Joseph, who was living in a flat with Shah in a posh highrise building at Bandra.

The Bandra police had registered a case of abetment to suicide against unknown persons and had taken the statements of eyewitnesses Rishi Shah, his friend Susana Uzma, an Estonian National and the house help.

"The police should probe the incident. It is unlikely that Karan committed suicide. We are very sure that Shah pushed Karan to death. Shah always showed his clout in the music industry and also had bouncers around him. Even a day before the committing suicide, Karan had texted about harassment meted to him.", said a friend of Karan who was present at the Bandra police station.

Meanwhile, the Bandra police said, "We have taken the statement of Shah again on Tuesday and questioned him about the incident. He has claimed innocence and said that he was completely unaware of the reason behind Karan's suicide. We have also taken the statement of the house help who was present during the incident."
