The major issue that has been plaguing Santacruz, Khar and Bandra during these monsoons is water logging. Every year during monsoon, there's the same loophole in the ward. Look at 17th road, Khar; Bandra Link Road and SV Road, Santacruz—all face water logging to a major extent and requires attention from the ward.

There's some work going on the 17th Road, Khar, and the debris has not been cleared making it messier with the ongoing monsoon. This filth needs to be cleaned, in fact, even a small improvement will do wonders. The pavement blocks have come out and walking has become troublesome. Despite the late arrival of monsoon, given that there was additional time to fix things, nothing has been done. The entire H-West ward is messed up.

Prashant Sapkale, the Assistant Municipal Commissioner for this ward, is not co-operative. Sapkale is not prompt with the complaints that are put forth by us and the other organisations. He needs to take more interest in the poor condition of his ward. The solution for the problem lies in taking the ALMs into confidence and having more open and transparent discussions about the work being done. The sweepers who clean the streets should also be given proper training so that every one of them carries out their work properly, not leaving a single bit of garbage behind."
