A 28-year old man was killed and two of his friends were injured after their SUV car rammed in a mini truck in South Delhi’s Mehrauli area on Tuesday night.
The police claim the driver was drunk as empty liquor bottles were found in the car.
According to the police the incident occurred around 10:30pm when a Scorpio car travelling from Chattarpur area towards Khanpur met with abn accident.
The car took a U-turn and hit a tempo before hitting three mini trucks parked on the roadside. Eyewitnesses claimed it was foggy and the driver could not spot the stationary trucks by the road.
“Sameer died on the spot while hsi friends Irfan and Arvind were critically injured in the incident. A case under appropriate sections of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) has been registered at Mehrauli police station,” said a senior police officer. The vehicle belongs to Arvind.
