SpiceJet celebrates it's 10th anniversary today, gives 10% discount on flights

To celebrate its tenth anniversary, SpiceJet announced 'Happy Birthday to Us' flash sale offering a flat 10% discount on select flights.

This sale is available only for five hours from 10 am to 3 pm which covers a travel period from 1st July, 2015 to 15th October, 2015.

This offer is an addition to its 'Celebration Sale' which the airline had announced on the 19th of this month. 

According to several reports, SpiceJet Chief Operating Officer, Sanjiv Kapoor said, “With this Happy Birthday to Us sale, we are pleased to offer yet another opportunity for customers the chance to fly with one of the most colourful and innovative airlines in India, today.”

“But you have to hurry, this sale is only for five hours, and seats are limited,” he added.

In its 'Celebration Sale', SpiceJet offered a special fare starting as low as Rs 1,010 all inclusive.

The airline claimed that they had witnessed an overwhelming response to the 'Celebration Sale' scheme. It's bookings surged by 400% on day 1 of the scheme.

Spicejet is India's second largest and most innovative low fare airline. The airline covers 41 destinations which includes 34 Indian and seven International cities.

The airline flew its first commercial flight in 2005 between New Delhi and Ahmedabad. SpiceJet was among the first few airlines to offer hot meals for sale on board. It had also introduced Bombardier Q400 turbo-prop aircraft which flew to smaller cities.
