After Mumbai, Ola's luxury category 'Ola Lux' will be available in Bangalore too.
Popular mobile app for transportation Ola has launched its newest luxury category 'Ola Lux' to Bangalore with feature luxury sedans like Jaguar, Mercedes, Audi, BMW, Toyota Camry and Fortuner, Honda Accord amongst other high end sedans and SUVs.
After a successful launch in Mumbai, Ola has introduced the service in Bangalore with booking at a minimum fare of Rs. 200 and just Rs. 19/km. A ride time charge of Rs. two per minute is also applicable. Ola Lux is now available in three cities across India, including Mumbai which was launched late last month; Bangalore and Delhi.
"We have been innovating constantly to provide for mobility needs across the board for our users. Bangalore is home to India's vibrant startup ecosystem and boasts of a discerning and upwardly mobile population that is on the constant lookout for luxury and style. With Ola Lux, available in the city, we expect to address the unmet needs of these users who demand unmatched style and comfort, at the touch of a button," said Head of Categories and Chief Marketing Officer at Ola, Raghuvesh Sarup.
"We see more and more users choosing not to own a car given the associated pains of driving and parking that they're compelled to face. Ola Lux brings a stylish luxury ride within minutes at a customer's doorstep anytime of the day. Going by the tremendous demand we've witnessed in Mumbai, We're confident that the offering will get a fabulous response from users in Bangalore and Delhi as well," he added.
The Lux icon appears on the Ola app when the customer is in Bangalore. Features like driver details being displayed upfront, SOS buttons, AutoConnect Wi-Fi, live tracking and seamless payment using Ola Money will continue to be available on Ola Lux.
'Auto-Connect Wi-Fi', available on Ola Lux, is a proprietary experience from the company's 'Innovation Labs' and allow users to automatically connect to Wi-Fi in an Ola cab without having to enter credentials every single time. Also available on Ola Prime, this feature provides users with a one-time authentication on their phones, to use Ola Wi-Fi on their devices without having to key in login credentials and passwords in subsequent rides.
It helps users to stay connected with Ola's secure network whenever they take a ride. Ola's auto-connect Wi-Fi has seen tremendous response and acceptance amongst its Prime customers; Ola plans to make it available across all its other categories including Micro, Mini and Auto-rickshaws available on the Ola app.
