Haryana co-op mills produce 17.09 lakh quintal sugar

Co-operative sugar mills in Haryana have so far produced over 17.09 lakh quintals of sugar by crushing 185.64 lakh quintals of sugarcane during the current crushing season.

As compared to it, these sugar mills had produced over 15.42 lakh quintals of sugar by crushing 165.71 lakh quintals of sugarcane during corresponding period last year, a spokesman of Haryana State Federation of Cooperative Sugar Mills said here today.

The Cooperative Sugar Mill, Shahabad has produced a maximum of over 3.25 lakh quintals of sugar by crushing 32.97 lakh quintals of sugarcane.

Cooperative Sugar Mill, Meham has produced over 1.86 lakh quintals of sugar by crushing 21.16 lakh quintals of sugarcane, followed by Cooperative Sugar Mill, Rohtak, which has produced 2.09 lakh quintals of sugar by crushing 24.05 lakh quintals of sugarcane.

He said that the Cooperative Sugar Mill, Kaithal has produced more than 1.83 lakh quintals of sugar by crushing 19.59 lakh quintals of sugarcane, whereas Cooperative Sugar Mill, Gohana has produced 1.62 lakh quintals of sugar by crushing 18.64 lakh quintals of sugarcane.
