Global consultancy firm EY today said it has not been appointed as data security auditor of the Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI).
Refuting a media report, EY said UIDAI - agency that issues the 12 digit unique-identity number Aadhaar, had not appointed it.
"EY, the leading global professional services organisation, clarified that it has not been appointed as UIDAI's data security auditor, as was referred to in a news report," it said in a statement here.
EY is a global leader in assurance, tax, transaction and advisory services.
