When a jewellery brand, over several decades, becomes a beacon of impeccable craftsmanship and develops a huge loyal fan base in the chic corridors, its 100 year milestone celebration demand nothing short of spectacular. Thakorlal Hiralal, one of the most desired bespoke jewellery names, is hosting an exclusive soiree to partake this proud moment with its customers on September 26, Friday at Crystal Room, Taj Mahal Palace Hotel.

Today, Thakorlal Hiralal is ably helmed by Pranay Mehta, a fourth generation diamantaire. Pranay shares, "It's an all new collection comprising heavier, bridal pieces apart from everyday jewellery. The collection is versatile and contemporary and comprises precious stones like amethyst, emeralds and rubies. Every offering is an heirloom piece which you can happily pass on to your children."

The glamorous Chhaya Momaya has planned an out-of-the-world, sit-down dinner comprising lavish five courses accompanied by a jewellery show and a litany of performances. Chhaya shares, "Jewellery represents royalty and the brand's client is very discerning so the evening will pay tribute to the great bond between the company and its customers. Pranay Mehta has left no stone unturned to ensure that the dinner is surreal. The stature of the guest list comprising 220 guests is very high and the who's who of the caviar set is invited. The performances include a peacock dance and a fire dance which pay homage to the Indian ethos though with a fun twist. Jewellery epitomises sensuality, love and romance and the idea is to make the celebration truly sensuous."
The talented, award-winning choreographer of Ram Leela, Samir and Arsh Tanna have choreographed the live performances.
Besides, there's a fashion show by the celebrated designer Raghavendra Rathore, who's a synonym of royalty in India. He's designed special buttons and jewellery for men for the occasion. Raghavendra shares, "We want to celebrate the bespoke jewellery here. The idea is to inspire a mood of a regal era through clothes and jewellery. We've amalgamated silhouettes and looks to complement the evening. Pranay has put his best foot forward and created beautiful jewellery." The exhibition continues next day over high tea at the Princess Room from 11 am to 5 pm.
