I was recently in London for 10 days. While I have been here many times, this truly was a special trip because I got a lot of time for myself. I love walking, and I got to do that a lot. I went to Hyde Park and spent hours there and at other parks in the city.
The British Asian Trust had organised a private tour of the Buckingham Palace. I got to spend an entire evening there and have a look at the wonderful art collection. I had the privilege of staring at Rembrandt at leisure.
While London is a shopping and food heaven, I’ve always associated it with art. This time, I saw the Phantom of the Opera and Aladdin. I also went to Shakespeare’s Globe, where William Shakespeare started showcasing the plays he’d written.
London is a great destination for any art lover. You have so many options for all sorts of budgets. Apart from theatre, I love the graffiti scene there. It’s extremely colourful and the artists express themselves so wonderfully.
I am not a huge football fan, but this time, I saw a Chelsea match. I just wanted the experience of a watching a game live. And I must say, it was a lot of fun.
