The credit for Beyonce's intricate and beautiful henna art, which she flaunted on her baby shower, goes to Indian-origin celebrity henna artiste Deepali Deshpande.

Deepali, an LA-based artiste, who has previously worked with Shay Mitchell, Evan Rachel Wood and Pia Mia, said working for Queen Bey was a dream come true for her, reported Billboard.

"I got a phone call from Beyonce's team the night before her baby shower about doing henna on her belly the next morning. They liked my Instagram and hired me after making sure I use natural henna with quality essential oils.

"I was thrilled and couldn't believe it was actually happening until I met Beyonce. I have worked with many celebrities, but Queen Bey was my dream client. I was honored I was able to adorn her belly on her special day," Deepali said.

It took Deepali two and half hours to complete the design. Apart from henna, the artiste used skin-safe body paint on Beyonce's belly design to add dimension to it and to compliment African tribal face art.

"Beyonce showed me what style she liked from my portfolio and explained what symmetry she likes, but she gave me the freedom to create my own design.

"She preferred bold geometrical elements of Moroccan designs with Indian traditional filler patterns inside and around the main composition. The design I created for Beyonce is a fusion of traditional Indian and Moroccan style," she said.
