Two Indian designers have been offered a global avenue to showcase their exquisite creations by 6Degree, India?s fashion talent, and tech platform.

Designers Amrapali Singh and VedikaMerh will exhibit their fun, chic and breathtaking collections at Fashion Forward Dubai (FFWD) on March 25, 2017, the final day of the three-day international fashion extravaganza that will be held at the Dubai Design District.

FFWD is a definitive fashion platform for Dubai and the Middle East providing development, exposure and a progressive direction for the regional fashion industry. In the ninth edition of the fashion extravaganza, over 30 global designers are expected to present their creations.

Vedika Merh will present The Flying Bunting collection that epitomizes chic and fun pr?t couture. It is a perfect blend of playful and bizarre prints, new stripes, brush-stroked patterns, experimental textures alongside watercolor tints tailored to easy and flowy organza, double georgette and lycra silhouettes in bright seasonal hues.

The designer who graduated from NAFA, Singapore has worked as a fashion stylist with Singapore Press Holdings, with Cleo, Women?s Weekly and Cosmopolitan Singapore and as a stylist with leading online fashion store Zalora. She returned to India and launched her own label ?Vedika M?.

Designer Amrapali Singh?s collection is an interpretation of the Blodeuwedd mythology. Her collection, BLODUEUWEDD under the label ?Birdwalk? is about the darkness, the night and beautiful lady turned into an owl.

The NIFT Delhi graduate, Singh has also done her masters in Fashion Design from InstitutoMarangoni, Milan, Italy and has been associated with various domestic and international projects with major fashion houses, including Hugo Boss, Chicco and Costume National.

Speaking on the upcoming fashion extravaganza, Amit Bharadwaj, COO & Co-Founder, 6Degree, said, ?FFWD is certainly one of the best avenues for new and talented fashion designers to showcase their creations to the world. We are happy to present India?s emerging talent on a prestigious international platform like FFWD, where they will get exposure to some senior designers and critics. We wish Amrapali and Vedika good luck and hope that this experience proves pivotal in the shaping of their careers.?

Designer Vedika Merh said, ?FFWD is one of the most anticipated events in the fashion industry, which showcases a curated collection of the Middle East?s coveted couture, accessory and jewelry designs. I am thankful to 6Degree for giving me such a big opportunity to showcase my collections on an international platform.?

Designer Amrapali Singh commented, ?I am elated to be a part of this prestigious fashion extravaganza in Dubai. Not only will the fashion show help me expand my consumer base, but will also give me a chance to network with international designers, witness their exquisite collections and get inspired by their work.?

6Degree had exclusively partnered with FFWD in September 2016. The designers were selected by an eminent jury in the fashion industry after a two-stage short listing procedure of sending their applications along with their look books and designer profiles followed by a primary screening by the 6Degree team.

FFWD is held twice a year in Dubai and includes runway shows and presentations by the best couture, ready-to-wear and accessories designers in the Middle East. Additionally, FFWD also hosts d3 fashion talks, a series of inspiring seminars and panel discussions led by global industry experts and fashion academia.
