Located bang opposite Farzi Cafe, Lower Parel’s latest gastropub is hard to miss. While the exterior is impressive and stands tall, the interiors are equally impressive and inviting. Pops of colour fill the space thanks to the vibrant hue of the chairs that dot the space alongwith the artwork that adorns the walls. Look up and you will notice pipes on the ceiling, which make for the London tube map. The drinks are a welcome change as they contain no artificial syrups and everything is made in-house — from the beer-fermented flat breads to the sauces and bangers. We dropped by for a tasting, and picked some dishes that you should try on your next visit there.

Truffle-scented Dark Chocolate Caramelised Cauliflower Veloute

Vegetarians should definitely try this one. The dark chocolate only enhances the subtle flavour of the truffle accentuated with the caramelised cauliflower veloute.
Cost: Rs 290

Tamarind and Wasabi Glazed Chicken Wings

Served with a miso mayo and blue cheese sauce, the tamarind gives the chicken wings a sweet sour taste with just the right amount of kick from the wasabi that coats the wings. We asked for more wasabi on the side as we love its potent kick and together with the blue cheese sauce and the miso mayo the trio makes this one a must-have.
Cost: Rs 410

Pork Belly Bao

Goth is beautiful, especially when served in a charcoal bao filled with twice-cooked  pork belly tossed with mushrooms, pickled pineapple and veg coleslaw served with miso wasabi and toasted sesame mayo. Bursting with flavour, this one is a perfect accompaniment to any drink.
Cost: Rs 525

Pork Ramen

If you enjoy a bowl of piping hot ramen, this one definitely won’t disappoint. Braised pork belly, veggies and egg add their own flavour to the broth that’s equally delicious.
Cost: Rs 675

Salted Dark Chocolate and WHiskey Mousse

The salted dark chocolate and whiskey mousse is served on a sponge cake surrounded with Malibu soup. The sweet-salty combination works wells when balanced against each other.

Sherlock in pickle

A tribute to the world’s most famous spy, this one uses his favourite ingredients to create a savoury drink made with a wine beetroot reduction. Pickled gherkins flavour it and give it its potency.
