Chef Akshay recently visited Akshaya Patra?s Vrindavan kitchen (one of the biggest kitchens in North India) and cooked for the students. The kitchen serves mid-day meals every day to more than 1.2lacs students in 2000 schools in Vrindavan and Mathura. Every day, Akshaya Patra serves over 1.6 Million children from 13808 schools in 12 states through 31 kitchens across India.
During the visit, Celebrity Chef Akshay Nayyar said, ?It?s an honour for me & my team to collaborate with The Akshaya Patra Foundation which works towards the noble cause of providing mid-day meals to students everyday. By providing mid-day meals, they not only feed the kids but also motivate them, and give them a reason to be in school and study. My team & I feel privileged to cook in Vrindavan Kitchen where we have served food to more than 1.5 lacs students?.
Chef Akshay and Kopper Kadai Delhi team cooked rice, kadhi, chapatis in the base kitchen. Chef also shared the importance of healthy food and learning, with children.
