Laser treatment reduces hair growth_THINKSTOCKPHOTOS

With summer just around the corner, having a hair-free body and face becomes more important. To wear shorts, swimming costumes or even skirts and short tops with confidence is so important. For those who have superfluous hair or are suffering from Hirsutism, managing hair removal is a major task. It leads to lack of confidence in young girls, and even depression.

For better understanding of this problem, the first step is to go to an endocrinologist who can treat the problem medically. The next step is to stop threading and waxing of facial hair, except for eyebrows. This is where one should look for a complete solution for hair removal.

What are the choices?

There is Laser which should give good results with dark, thick hair.

But, what about the peach fuzz we all have? What about the hair which is left after the Laser treatment is over?

For those who are new to hair removal, Electrolysis is something they may never have heard of. Electrolysis has been around for more than 50 years. It was the only permanent hair removal treatment available before the arrival of lasers.

So to clarify: Laser is hair reduction (cannot claim to permanently remove hair). It also does not work on grey/white hair or soft, peach fuzz. Electrolysis is the only FDA approved “permanent” hair removal process which works on all hair except peach fuzz. We also recommend a special treatment for reduction of peach fuzz. It comes from the UK. When all three are offered by one therapist, then that clinic is geared to take care of all eventualities. We wish everyone a hair-free summer!
