Two minor raped in Jhalawar

Two minor girls, both daily wage labourers were raped by two youths on Sunday, also labourers with them in Jhalawar district following which mother of one of the victim’s, on Tuesday, evening lodged a case of rape against the two accused in Mahila police station of Jhalawar district. The accused youths are absconding after the case was lodged against them.

A 17 years old girl and her 14-year-old friend, both from Bheel community and residents of Jhalawar city were on Sunday raped by two youths, residents of Jhalrapatan town of the district, told SHO at Mahila Police station, Kamal Chand Meena.  The two minor victims are daily wage labourers and the two accused youths work with them on construction sites, he said. One of the two youths, on Sunday noon, took both the girls with him on motorbike to a deserted place at Growth Centre in industrial area on outskirt of Jhalrapatan town, where the other accused, his friend was already present, the SHO said adding the each of the two youths raped the two girls there.  The youths later took the girls to local fair at Jhalrapatan town and late night on the same day, they dropped the two girls to their residential area. The two minor girls are neighbors in Jhalawar city and are well known to the accused youths as they work together.   

The two minor girls next morning narrated the incident to their mother following which after sending a day in inquiry and discussion among relatives, mother of one of the victims approached the Mahila police station on Tuesday evening and lodged a case against the two youths, the SHO said.
