Tribute to martyr with full honours in native village Gudha

Havaldar Om Prakash Gurjar, who martyred in Jammu & Kashmir, was cremated with full sate honour in his native village Gudha on Saturday.

Army jawans gave him a guard of honour before his only son Shanker performed last rites. Hundreds of people bid adieu to martyr Om Prakash with moist eyes. Havaldar Om Prakash was attached to 27 Rajputana Rifles.

He died in an encounter with terrorists in Bhalra on Wednesday. During his final journey, villagers and public representatives paid floral tributes to him. Bhanwar Lal, father of Martyr Om Prakash said that he would send his grandson to the army to serve the country. Congress MP from Ajmer, Dr. Raghu Sharma announced the construction of community hall and name it after martyr Om Prakash.

He also announced Rs 10 lakh for it. Parliamentary secretary Suresh Rawat announced Rs 10 lakh for the boundary wall and presented chief minister Vasundhara Raje’s condolence message. Chairman of sainik Kalyan Board, Prem Singh Bajore announced to install a statue of martyr Om Prakash and every possible help to his family. Apart from them, MLA Bhagirath Choudhary, former MLA Nathuram Sinodia and district collector Gaurav Goyal were also present at the funeral.
