SDMs to be part of collector’s conference

At the inaugural session of the RAS association convention, the chief minister too had upheld the vital role of the RAS officers in progress of the state.

In acknowledgment of the contribution of Rajasthan administrative officers in development, chief minister Vasundhara Raje on Saturday made directions for Sub Divisional Magistrates to be made part of Collectors Conference.

The inclusion of the SDM is expected to provide a further detailed outlook of the scenario at the micro level of administration. It was a suggestion from the RAS association chairman, Pawan Arora during the RAS association convention that CM agreed upon.

At the inaugural session of the RAS association convention, the chief minister too had upheld the vital role of the RAS officers in progress of the state. Sighting success example of Jaipur Municipal Corporation (JMC), the chief minister has invoked a similar level of coordination between officers and governance in other parts of the state.

“The RAS officers posted at JMC have set an example in the implementation of sanitation works under lead of Jaipur mayor Ashok Lahoti, It has been due to strong determination that Jaipur has emerged a leading city in terms of cleanliness and all the state divisions should reflect similar enthusiasm towards cleanliness,” said chief minister Raje.

The chief minister praising the RAS cadre for their services sought for their continued support in the implementation of government schemes and extending relief for the state residents. The chief minister said that 7.5 crore residents of the state look forward to 800 RAS, 300 IAS, 200 MLAs and 25 MPs for development.

“Work so that people shall remember you for next 25 years,” CM invoked the officials to work for the betterment of residents. The appeal received an applauding acceptance from the RAS officers present in large numbers at the convention.

Earlier at the inaugural session, the chief minister was received with a traditional welcome by the chairman of RAS Association, Pawan Arora. The association chairman on behalf of the RAS cadre assured the chief minister that the officers are working with dedication to the progress of the state despite limited resources. During the convention, Pawan Arora was also commemorated by the chief minister for being promoted to the IAS cadre.

RAS felicitated

Pankaj Ojha, revenue appellate authority, Kota was felicitated for settling 107 revenue cases in one day- a world record. SDM Nangal Rajawatan, Dausa, Gordhan Lal Sharma was also commended for ISO certification for the administrative office. Several other officers were also felicitated at the events for achievements in various sectors.
