Ruckus in Assembly has become order of the day: Kailash Meghwal

The chief minister said that at times ruckus occurs as every party has its own ideology and the legislators are bound by the party line. But, this quarrel should not be personal.

Assembly Speaker Kailash Meghwal and chief minister Vasundhara Raje expressed concern over the happenings of the day-1 of the Assembly session on Monday. Meghwal said that Lok Sabha and Assembly today has become a ruckus house. Earlier impresive speeches were given by ministers, but now only ruckus takes place. The problem must be addressed and solved by all the parties. Raje said that sometimes commotion inevitably surfaces, but order should be maintained. 

Meghwal was addressing during the Senior Legislative Felicitation Ceremony organised by Sunder Singh Bhandari Charitable Trust on Monday. He also said that it is a challenge to run the House keeping everyone follow discipline. “Things will fall in line only when we all work towards the problem at hand. Many a times the harsh words have to be used and even I have done that,” he added. 

The chief minister said that at times ruckus occurs as every party has its own ideology and the legislators are bound by the party line. But, this quarrel should not be personal.  

Raje praised the Assembly Speaker Meghwal saying that he is running the House very efficiently. “He treats the members of the House fairly,” Raje said. During her speech, Raje admitted that former vice-president Bhairon Singh Shekhawat taught her to keep patience in politics and to respect elders. Raje further went on to add that whatever she is today is because of Shekhawat. Raje shared an instance when Shekhawat for the first time asked her to go to Jhalawar and fight elections. “I did not want to go to Jhalawar and even cried after reaching there and now 30 years later, Jhalawar has became my family,” the CM said. Praising Shekhawat, Raje further said that he thought ahead of his time. 

The trust honoured nine former and present legislators including chief minister Vasundhara Raje. Senior BJP MLA Ghanshyam Tiwari was also invited to the function. However, Tiwari boycotted the ceremony in protest of differences with chief minister Vasundhara Raje and the Criminal Laws (Rajasthan Amendment)Ordinance, the Bill related to which was tabled in the Assembly on Monday.  

CM Vasundhara Raje (5 times MP, 4 times MLA), Nathu Singh Gurjar (1 time MP, 5 times MLA), Mahadev Singh Khandela (1 time MP, 5 times MLA), Krishnendra Kaur Deepa (1 time MP, 5 times MLA, Digvijay Singh Uniyara (6 times MLA), Bhanwarlal Sharma Sardarshahar (6 times MLA), Rajendra Rathore (6 times MLA), Bhanwarlal Sharma Hawamahal (6 times MLA) ) and Kalicharan Saraf (6-times MLA) were felicitated.
