In a Jhunjhunu village even the dead are regularly coming to ration shop to collect their supplies under Food Security Scheme. This may sound odd but chief minister Vasundhara Raje was informed that the corruption in Aduka village has reached to such level, a fuming Raje immediately asked officials to charge sheet the district supply officer (DSO) Subhash Choudhary.

Few rural folks who came to attend the ‘CM Jan Sanwad’ Programme on Friday in Gudagaur Ji (Jhunjunu) exposed the level of corruption prevailing in supply of Public Distribution System (PDS) in front of the CM. They alleged that their village Sarpanch, Mohanlal Sharma, who happens to be ration dealer also, took supply of rations in the name of the people who are dead.

When the same issue was conveyed to DSO Choudhary, he ignored it and did not take action against the dealer. Raje, after verifying the complaint, directed officials to slap charge sheet on the DSO and take action against those involved in this scam. At Jan Sanwad programme, the CM assured the people that the government will take strict action against the higher officials if their subordinate fail to redress grievances at their level.

“The higher officials need to act against the subordinates if they fail to address grievances of common man. We will also take action against the higher officials if the grievances remain unaddressed at lower lever,” said Raje, directing the officials to file compliance report on the grievances received in the programme so far by Saturday morning.

Raje, meanwhile, showered sops on Jhunjunu district. She claimed that her government will lay road network in entire district with a budget of Rs 910 crore. To ensure quality material be used for making roads, experts from BITS Pilani under third party inspection will test the material also.

PHED engineer on apo

A PHED engineer was kept APO (awaiting for posting order) on direction of CM Raje as he failed to supply water to a mosque in Jhunjhunu for Vaju (practice of washing feet and hands) which Muslims do prior to Namaz. The devotees several times complained to the engineer Rajendra Kumar Agnihotri for poor supply of water. On Friday when people registered their grievances in CM Jan Sanwad Programme, Raje acted immediately and ordered his APO.
