Rajasthan Pradesh Congress Committee members to attend AICC session

Over 450 Congress leaders including RPCC (Rajasthan Pradesh Congress Committee) members will participate in the three-day All India Congress Committee plenary session beginning in Delhi from Friday at Indira Gandhi Indoor Stadium. The main agenda of the session is ratification of Rahul Gandhi’s election as party president, and at the same time Rahul is expected to present his blueprint on the changes in a ‘vision document’.  

Sources within the party informed that about Rs 2500 fee is charged annually from the members. The RPCC members along with AICC members and co-opted members need to pay the fees and take no dues if they have to attend the plenary session. With this, the party wants to boost financial health and ensure discipline in the party.

Rahul Gandhi, the new party president, will use the occasion to unveil his vision for the party, outlining the changes that he wants to bring in and spelling out his plan of action for taking the party to the next round of assembly polls, and most importantly the next Lok Sabha elections. This Shakti Program will be launched pan India in all Congress state units by Gandhi during the session too. The session, which will be held at the Indira Gandhi Indoor Stadium, is expected to be attended by around 12,000 AICC delegates.

Congress issued a list of 102 members who will be attending the session. They include PCC chief Sachin Pilot, former chief minister Ashok Gehlot, former union minister CP Joshi,   Ajmer MP Raghu Sharma, Alwar MP Dr Karan Singh Yadav; Abhishek Manu Singhvi, and leader of opposition Rameshwar Dudi among others.
