The City Palace has clarified that the recent high court verdict related to SMS Investment Corporation Pvt Ltd has been incorrectly interpreted as the one related to Rajmahal land dispute which is pending in a lower court and that it is in no way related to BJP MLA and erstwhile royal Diya Kumari as reported.
A statement on behalf of the City Palace has stated that the court dismissed a writ petition by way of the reported order wherein SMS Investment Corporation Pvt Ltd (with which MLA Princess Diya Kumari has no connection) was claiming its title on khasra number 188 and consequently seeking lapse of proceedings under the new land acquisition law, which has been held to be not applicable to acquisition proceedings.
“The Jaipur royal family comprising MLA Diya Kumari has taken no such stand by way of any proceedings in any court. In contrast, the entire Rajmahal episode is to do with a civil court decree, which is a subject matter of an appeal being contested by the JDA and the state government. The same is presently pending before the Rajasthan High Court and hence, the matter is sub-judice,” the statement said.
