Nitin Gadkari making efforts to bring Yamuna water: Arjun Ram Meghwal

Central government has also agreed to the building of three dams in Uttarakhand and Himachal Pradesh, following which Haryana will get ample water supply

Union Minister of State for Water Resources Arjun Ram Meghwal visited Jhunjhunu on Sunday. He laid the foundation stone of the pond that is being constructed by the migrant Chaudhary family to collect rainwater in Mandasi village of Jhunjhunu. Along with it, Meghwal inaugurated the renovation work of Damar road, Gaurav Path and Animal Hospital. The programme witnessed the presence of MP Santosh Ahlawat, BJP District President Rajiv Singh Shekhawat, Chairman Sudesh Ahlawat, Nawalgarh Pradhan Gajadhar Dhaka, BJP leader Dr Rajesh Babal and Purushottam Khajpuria. 

Speaking on the occasion, Meghwal said that Union Minister Nitin Gadkari is making efforts to bring Yamuna water. Restrained agreements in five states— UP, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand and Rajasthan, have been cleared in the last meeting. Central government has also agreed to the building of three dams in Uttarakhand and Himachal Pradesh, following which Haryana will get ample water supply. Cities of Jhunjhunu, Bharatpur and Churu will also benefit from the scheme. MP Santosh Ahlawat said that after getting Yamuna’s water in Jhunjhunu, the politics in the name of water will end and there will be discussions about the development.
