Narendra Modi Mobile App has helped hundreds of Bundi farmers get crores of rupees as compensation under the new Land Acquisition Act.

The compensation, which is four times more than what it used to be in past, was made possible when the farmers concerned uploaded their complaints on Narendra Modi Mobile App and the solution came the next month.

At least 216.612 hectares of land in Bundi district out of a total 465.263 hectares was acquired for 204km long national highway 148 D from Gulabpura to Uniyara in Tonk district.

Now, the highway has become the first highway where the farmers have been compensated according to the amended compensation rules for acquired agriculture land as per Land Acquisition, Rehabilitation and Resettlement Act 2013. The highway passes through several villages of Hindoli and Nainwa sub-divisions of the district including Jajawar, Runija, Bundi ka Gothra, Rajlawata, Ovan, Basoli.

National highway 148 D is the first highway in the state where the government has compensated the farmers as per new land acquisition Act 2013, said  ADM (Sealing) Mamta Tiwari. A total compensation for the acquired land in Bundi district was estimated to Rs. 29.31 crore and Rs 17. 84 crore has   been distributed among the farmers, she added.
It was Dixant Soni of Jajawar village of Bundi among the few active farmers who in August 2016 downloaded Narendra Modi Mobile App. The farmers were not satisfied with government’s calculation of compensation as per the previous land acquisition Act while the new Act for the same was in place.
