An important member of Team Modi - Manoj Sinha is in Jaipur to deliberate on Rising New India at a conclave orgainsed by popular national channel Zee Hindustan,  in association with Urdu voice of India Zee Salaam and regional channel ZEE Rajasthan along with leading English newspaper DNA.

His trademark long kurta can’t cover the good work he has done so far as the state minister for railways and communication (independent charge). Manoj Sinha, a three-time BJP MP is among rare ministers who are known for their proximity to both - Prime Minister Narendra Modi and BJP chief Amit Shah. His equation with Modi is evident from the fact that besides giving him two important ministeries, Modi has also made him incharge of Varanasi - the constituency which PM represents. But the trust and power Sinha enjoys, doesn’t get into his head. It translates into his performance only to prove that Modi has a great choice and judgement of persons. He is both recognised for a strong ability to connect with masses, especially at the rural level along with being a firm administrator.

A silent performer, Sinha has etched a mark in both the ministeries in a short period. So much so that Sinha is considered a top performer in Team Modi assigned to create a New India. Then Zee Group’s popular national channel Hindustan, in association with Urdu voice of India Zee Salaam and regional channel ZEE Rajasthan along with leading English newspaper DNA, in its pursuit for a narrative about Rising New India created an opportunity to invite Manoj Sinha for knowing his views and his thoughts on building the New Nation. He will be seen deliberating with top political and business leaders, strategists to create a roadmap to trudge the development path. Sinha reached Jaipur on Friday and was received at the airport by Jagdeesh Chandra, CEO, Zee Hindustan, OP Gupta, CGM, Raj telecom circle, Sanjay Kumar, PGM Sales and Marketing, Corporate office, Satish Sharma, PGM Telecom, District Jaipur, TP Singh, GM, North Western Railways and SD Sharma, Chariman Devasthan Board.

A civil engineer, Sinha means business. His style of working has won many a followers in recent times. Modi’s dream of Digital India in no more a far fetched ambition with Sinha in the driving seat of the communication ministry. 

He recently launched Rs 1400 crore project DARPAN – “Digital Advancement of Rural Post Office for A New India” to improve the quality of service and add value to services for rural customers. 

It intends to provide a low power technology solution to each Branch Postmaster (BPM). This will enable all 1.29 Lakhs Branch Post Offices (BOs) to improve the level of services being offered to rural customers across all the states. This will also serve dual purpose - another dream of Modi aiming financial inclusion of unbanked rural population.The telecom ministry, which is undergoing turmoil, has the right man at helm. Sinha says that telecom sector post consolidation will pick up in next 6-8 months. Now that the Jinn of 2G is out of the bottle, country is ready for 5G with spectrums vacant for fresh auctions. Despite previous controversies, Sinha is not afraid of taking decisions in national interest.

“India will rise on Digitalisation and telecommunication. Modernisation of the most economical and efficient transport mode - railways - is equally important to cover long distance of development in shortest time. Thankfully, Sinha is piloting both the important departments. India will take giants leaps toward building New Nation,” said a senior BJP leader.
