Generally, people eat sweet as dessert after lunch or dinner but in Jodhpur, whether it is wedding or festival, first they eat sweets and meals are always the second choices for them. This is the reason that the special sweets made of ‘ghee’ are prepared during Diwali festival. As estimated, twenty to twenty thousand crores rupees sweets are sold in those three days (festival) in Jodhpur.

No matter how many sweets people buy from the outskirts of the city but they do not forget to buy Gulab Jamun and besan ki chakki of Chaturbhuj sweet shop located in the inner city. Kesar Ras Malai, Rabdi Ghevar, Besan  Chakki are very famous.

At the same time people are still crazy about Rawat's mava kachori. Janta Sweet Home's badam chakki and Jodhpur Sweet Home's kaju katli are always in demand. Sweets made of dry fruits are a specialty of Solanki Sweet Home. The singles products of these sweet shops are so famous that people come to buy the sweets from far-flung areas and these shops are always crowded withcustomers. Because of this, those sweet vendors have to make desert for three days continuously.
