Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje, on Sunday while detailing the development projects and farmer welfare schemes launched by her government, said the state needs 10 to 15 rule for complete development as the five-year term is not enough.

CM Raje was speaking as the chief guest at 11th convention of Akhil Bhartiya Kirad Kshatriya Mahasabha Adhiveshan while Madhya Pradesh chief minister Shivraj Singh Chauhan presided over the function at Dharnidhar Bhawan in Dharnidhar garden in Rangbadi area of Kota city.

Chauhan also appealed youth to develop abilities and capabilities for progress in life as apart from this, nothing can help one lead and progress in life.

Raje said if one really wants to see total development in the state, it requires at least 10 to 15 years of rule as seen in Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh. The government inherited huge debt of Rs. 3000 to 35000 lakh crore but through skillful use and management of resources, the government in the last four and a half years has ushered the state on the path of development and progress, Raje said.

The state government has given away about Rs. 62000 crore as crop loan to farmers by Feb 15 and by the end of this year the crop loan to farmers would reach to about Rs. 80,000 crore, Raje claimed. Interest rate on crop loan has also been reduced to 5.5 % from 12 % and moreover ‘Rajasthan is now Lagan free state’, she added.

Rajasthan government has set up Rajasthan state agriculture loan relief commission that would continue to work for the relief of farmers, Raje said, adding a committee chaired by Gulab Chand Kataria has also been set up that would in next one month announce the measures to relief the farmers from loan. The state government has taken tremendous measures for financial reforms in the last four and a half years and benefited state employees with 7th pay commission that would load the state government with Rs 16000 crore extra financial burden, Raje said.

Shivraj Singh Chauhan recounted his journey as a schoolboy to CM. He said his mother inspired him to do something different in life in his early childhood and the same inspiration has led him to work differently for society

Referring to Vasundhra Raje as his sister, Chauhan said Madhya Pradesh and Rajasthan are closely associated with each other. Besides, the local MLA and MP Dushyant Singh and Om Birla, national president of Kirad Kshatriya Mahasabha Shivaji Patel and Kota UIT chairman R.K. Metha, the convener of the function were also present.
