One man died and the other sustained injuries in a collision between two trucks on Wednesday night near Bagru toll plaza.
The accident took place around 1.15am when two trucks were being driven on the same lane. The driver of one of the trucks lost control due to sleep and rammed into the other truck from behind.
The driver of the truck hit from behind was trapped in the mangled truck and the police with the help of a crane took him out.
He was rushed to the hospital where he succumbed to his injuries. His helper escaped with minor injuries, while the driver of the second truck, who was not hurt, fled the scene.
Woman killed in road accident: A 35-year-old woman was killed while two others sustained serious injuries on Wednesday night in collision between two motorbikes at Chaksu.
The accident occurred at Jaisinghpura area under Chaksu police station when a couple - identified as Banna Lal and Anokhi Devi - on a motorbike was heading for a nearby village. As they passed the Jaisinghpura area, motorbike driven by a youth crashed head-on into the couple’s bike. All three were seriously injured. However, the woman succumbed to her injuries while the two men are stated to be in critical condition.
Sub-inspector man-handled: A sub-inspector of the Jaipur police was manhandled by a man when the police officer went to meet him in connection with investigation of a case. When sub-inspector Ramanand reached house of one Abrar Khan in Shanti Nagar area of Hassanpura on Tuesday he was already abusing the person who had registered the case against him.
When the cop intervened, Abrar not only abused but also man-handled him. To control the situation a posse of police arrived and nabbed him as he was trying flee from the scene.
