With changing times, the way we travel using railway services is also changing. NWR which had already installed high speed Wi-Fi at its 13 stations is now extending the facility to more stations. Now, Bhilwara, Rani, Marwar, Suratgarh, Sriganganagr, Hissar, Bhiwani, Lalgarh, Bandikui, Rewari, Barmer, Nagaur and Pali (Marwar) will also soon have access to the facility of high speed internet in coming days.
Giving the information, chief public relation officer of NWR, Tarun Jain, informed that it has been proposed to install wi -fi at all the A1 category and A category railway stations.
Under this, in the first phase, internet facility was given at Jaipur, Ajmer, Udaipur and Jodhpur stations .
After that, the stations of Jawai Bandh, Falna Abu Road, Bikaner, Hanumangarh, Alwar, Gandhi Nagar station Jaipur, Phulera and Jaisalmer station got the benefit of Wi-Fi.
Infact,Gandhi Nagar station Jaipur is a considerably big and important station just after Railway junction. All major trains on Delhi route stop at this station and it caters to a large part of Jaipur particularly those people living in colonies of areas like Jagatpura, Sanganer etc are concerned.
Notably, with the help of this facility, the passengers can very easily track the arrival of train, or do their other work while being at the railway station.
MAKING INTERNET UBIQUITOUS
