Examination Planning and Monitoring Committee at the University of Rajasthan, on Monday, declared that the B.Sc (hons) part three paper held on April 13, was not leaked before the examination was held.
As a result, the paper has not been cancelled. The decision was in contrast to the overall rumours that were taking rounds from last three days amongst college students. This was decided after a detailed discussion and evaluation of facts by the committee which included convener prof SL Sharma, prof Vipin Tayal, prof JP Yadav, prof VV Singh, prof Deepak Bhatnagar, and prof VK Gupta, controller of examination.
The committee further clarified that the university has allowed centres with more than 500 candidates to open the packet of question papers 30 minutes before the examination, while centres with less than 500 candidates can open the packets 15 minutes before the examination.
The university has also filed a complaint regarding the entire issue at Gandhi Nagar police station.
The suggestions of the Examination Planning and Monitoring Committee were then presented to the vice-chancellor RK Kothari, who had accepted the same.
