A step forward: Jaipur Foot US holds camp in Nakoda

A camp for differently abled people was organised by the US chapter Jaipur Foot of Bhagwan Mahaveer Viklang Sahayata Samiti in Nakoda. On this occasion, Director General of Border Security Force, KK Sharma as the Chief Guest, said that an appreciable initiative has been taken to bring these people into the mainstream. Like the Jaipur Foot US, the Border Security Force have the differently abled people and they have fared well in different fields.

Meanwhile, Sharma said that Border Security Force has started the Skill Centre for differently abled persons and differently abled  soldiers have set the record by completing the 580km journey through the Himalaya. Lokayukta S.S. Kothari said that Bhagwan Mahaveer Viklang Sahayata Samiti is doing commendable work for the welfare of differently abled.

Prem Bhandari, chairman of Jaipur foot US, said that big efforts are being made for the differently abled free. He appreciated the contribution of the Golia family. So far 810 people have been surveyed during differently abled camp organized in Nakoda. Tri-cycle, crutches, calipers and other aids and appliances were distributed to hundreds of differently abled persons at the camp. He expressed his desire to organise a special camp for soldiers who lost their legs on the border.
